Overland Park Bankruptcy Lawyer

The William P. Turner Law Office is a Kansas City law office focused exclusively on serving the bankruptcy needs of clients in Kansas. I am bankruptcy attorney Bill Turner and I have been practicing law since 1990. Currently, I am serving as the Kansas state chairperson for the National Association for Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.  I understand the financial difficulties you may be facing. You will have my guidance and support during this tumultuous and stressful period. Please call 913-649-4700 today to schedule a free initial consultation with an experienced bankruptcy attorney in Overland Park.

Filing for Bankruptcy

I am a lawyer dedicated to helping clients achieve a fresh financial start.  I limit my law practice to consumer bankruptcies.  I can also assist family business and other small business owners in dealing with the aftermath of a failing business.  I guide individuals seeking debt relief through the following forms of personal bankruptcy:

  • Chapter 7 Bankruptcy: Chapter 7 personal bankruptcy allows an individual to obtain a fresh start by eliminating eligible debt. Sometimes some of the debtor's property must be turned over to pay creditors, but most debtors who file Chapter 7 bankruptcies do not lose any of their property.

  • Chapter 13 Bankruptcy: Chapter 13 personal bankruptcy allows an individual to create a 3 to 5 year repayment plan or partial repayment plan. This form of bankruptcy allows an individual to discharge some liabilities while also providing a chance to stop foreclosures, repossessions or dealing with tax issues.

Stop Harassment, Foreclosures, and Repossessions

If you have a home, car, or other property being foreclosed or repossessed, filing for bankruptcy may be a solution for you, but the timing of the filing is important.  Waiting to file until after significant deadlines can prevent the recovery or retention of secured property such as your car or home, so please do not delay in at least talking to an experienced bankruptcy attorney.

Contact my Overland Park law firm for a free initial consultation with a knowledgeable, personable, and experienced bankruptcy attorney.
